Ashridge Walk & Picnic

Please bring food/drinks to share and your own seating (you can leave these in the car until the picnic). A leisurely walk through lovely woodland in Ashridge. Generally flat terrain. Start and finish at the visitor's centre. Option to just do the walk or just the picnic. Picnic starts around 1.00pm.

Wetherspoon Wanderers On the Slide & Up in the Air
A variation on the Wetherspoon Wander - a trip to London to experience the ArcelorMittal Orbit Slide and Viewing Platform  and the Emirates Cable Car.

Meet 09.30 on the platform at Luton rail station for the 09.41 train to West Hampstead; Jubilee Line to Stratford; approximate 20 min walk to the Orbit. The time slot booked for the slide and/or viewing platform is 11:45. Leave the park at approx. 13:00 after lunch, etc. Take the tube/DLR to  Victoria Docks for a ride on the Emirates Cable Car across the Thames to the 02. Walk along the river bank to the Thames Barrier from where individuals can decide whether to return home immediately or extend the trip.

Catching the 9.35 am  757 from Luto Airport  to Lords Cricket Ground , walking along the Regents Canal to Little Venice & the Paddington Basin to Paddington Station. Continuing to Hyde Park where walk to Hyde Park Corner along the Serpentine. Subject to time we can walk down to Buckingham Palace & around the lake in St James Park. You have two choices to pick up the 757 back to Luton Interchange to catch a bus back to Dunstable. ( Hyde Park Cirner or Victoria Greenline stop )

Classed as a easy walk with plenty of refreshment stops on route together with toilets.
Meet 8.30am Winston Churchill bus stop to pick up the 8.40 am No A to the Airport.

This is a slow ramble around the perimeter of the Center Park at Millbrook Warren. Staring from Millbrook Village, the route follows the Greensand Ridge Walk overlooking the Millbrook Proving Ground and follows woodland paths and tracks around Millbrook Warren. After a refreshment stop en route, we return to Millbook Village.

Proposed trip to Poland in May 2020

We are planning to do a trip to the High Tatras in Poland next May. The flights are to Poprad Tatry from Luton and are currently under £70 return. A week's half board hotel accommodation (with wellness sauna centre) will work out at under £500 each for a double room and the use of a walk guide. (if more people go the price will decrease) The hotel will organise transfers from the airport to the hotel. Details will be emailed to everybody.
