As we enter a second lockdown in which only two people from different households can meet together outside it is with regret that we are having to cancel all planned walks from 5 November. It is hoped we can start to send out invitations for walks as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
I am sure you will join me in giving a big thank you to all the walk leaders who have lead or had planned to lead our ‘rule of six’ walks. I’d also like to thank you all for your patience in waiting for your walk invitations and your quick response to let me know if you could come or not. That enabled us to ensure wherever possible all walk places were filled.
We will put all updates on the website so do check around 2nd December.
Stay alert and keep safe
We do hope that you have been able to get out and about and enjoy the countryside whilst keeping yourself and others safe.
We have been testing out local walks in small groups of no more of six people, following all the social distancing rules.
If you would like an invite to a future walk which will include no more than six people, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. In your email let us know whether you are available at weekends or weekdays and the mileage you would prefer i.e. 5-6 miles and/or 7-10 miles. This will help us with planning but please be patient while we try and find more people able to lead walks
You will need to be able to make your own way to the start of the walk. Bring sanitiser as we will may be climbing over styles etc, and also bring a face mask if you want to be able to enter a refreshment establishment while out with us.
If you get an invite please let us know as soon as possible whether you can come or not. If you have booked a place on a walk but then develop symptoms of COVID19 do not come on the walk and cancel your place.
